Battery drain when not Switched on - Move

10 Replies 927 Views Created 09-09-2011

Does anyone else experience a drop in the power held in the battery when it has been sitting not turned on for awhile and you pick it up to use and find an entire bar has disappeared for instance when it should've had full charge?

Is this a trait common to move or is there a defect with my move.

Define "a while."

It is a trait common to built-in rechargeable batteries that if you leave them for a long time, they lose their charge. Be aware that if the charge falls too low, they won't ever charge up again.

Like half a day. Not on par with the loss rate of a normal controller at all which is hardly noticeable.

Re: Battery drain when not Switched on - Move

It never happens to mine. Like Renze says, lithium batteries are easily damaged when they are allowed to go flat. My work Nokia is on its third battery in a year. When the battery goes you can charge it but it doesn't last for very long.

Half a day is too short. Sounds like you might have a faulty controller.

I've had it for about 6 months now. Thanks for the thoughts guys. I might be able to get it replaced by Sony perhaps.

The Mods have said on numerous occasions."Sony's controllers all have a 1 year warranty."

I would consider the Move to be an official Sony controller, so I'm guessing that they have a 1 year warranty.

Correct.

Take it back to the store of purchase with receipt within 12 months for a replacement if it's deemed faulty.

Hmm, mine goes flat after a few days of not using it. I didnt even think it could be defective, i just assumed it was normal Smiley Tongue might have to look into it now.
