Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

hi i think the move is better than kinect because you always get lag and control problems with the kinect i also think that you can use move in games like killzone easier because you have something to hold for a gun for example.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

I think in general I prefer the idea of physical items to hold as it makes it feel more accurate and involving. However the Kinect intergration for Skyrim looks awesome, mainly being able to actual shout dragon shouts!

See the thing is PS3 using the PlayStation Eye could also do what Kinect is doing in Skyrim ( being able to actually shout dragon commands ) but it wasn't implemented by the developers. Shame really.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

after using kinect for over a year i can definately say MOVE is 100% BETTER. more accurate, better feel, better games.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

No Kinect is not better than the Move after spending a few hours round friends it's just an expensive dashboard and BBCiplayer controller. With it's lack of a hand held controller it's game library will be severely limited to shovelware.

When you get an age warning on Iplayer they have to speak the HOLE line of text instead just saying "yes" This is when voice commands can get stupid. one or two words works, having to repeat over 8 words every time just does not work.

Voice commands are not new Ubisoft and even zipper have done it back on PS2.

Agree with you 100% there mate. I remember playing through the whole of Socom and Rainbow six 3 on Ps2 using a headset for voice commands. It was brilliant too one you got used to the call signs due to AI squad chatter also coming through the mic. That added to the 'immersion' factor which made it a useable feature.

I find it a tad amusing tho as their arepeople in the Kinect crowd who believe they will be getting core titles now ME3 n Skyrim have voice commands using the Kinect. I dunno who I feel sorry for more, the Kinect gamers waiting anxiously for a proper core title or ME3 for the humiliation of having a purple Kinect banner on its 360 case for a tiny feature like voice commands.

Ubisoft never gave up on Voice commands for Single player.

I still own Ubisoft titles with it in even on PS3.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2ShOmFMTq8 Recorded by the PS3 Firmware recorder and the youtube uploader.

Every missile fired via voice command, as well as every target change. That was tiring even after 4 mins.

Edit : LOL firmware recorder does not record input audio, only out put audio, o well. But you get the point.

The E3 Ghost recon demo shows that they have allready improved it from that 2010 demo.

Just no developer is brave enough to build direction controll in to a full Kinect shooter title.

Steel battalion : Heavy armour uses a normal 360 controller with Kinect to get around this.

Did you read about PS-Move also being a feature in the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier game?

Sounding good so far, but also hoping we get an option to use PS-Move in-game rather than normal controls ( but i doubt it ).

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

For general everyday gaming, Kinect is the better choice.

Reasoning:

Games are fun, easy to learn, and you dont need extra hardware. Just jump into action.

For hardcore gamers, I think move is the way to go.

Reasoning:
Attachments help improve game experience (a lot) for FPS games such as Killzone. It is also a lot of fun to use move attachments over the standard PS controller.

I think the main reason why people buy move or kinect is to play multiplayer with friends and family thats why I would say Kinect is the better choice. Not to mention you dont need extra controllers or have to waste time teaching people the controls and locations of the buttons on the controllers.
