Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

Well really Its all coming down to developers.

Xbox got Starwars Exclusive on their Kinect. Now if any series was made for motion control it would have been this.... But It was again poorly made and kinect fails when it is needed most during action points.

On the rails again.  (no developer is brave enough to work out away around this)

And worse of all it again has been made for KIDS, Why? This Is star trek 5 all over again, bloody rubbish.

( TBBT reference may escape a lot of people. )

Same happened with Ninja gaiden 3 yet another sword game that the developer messed it up, no 1:1 controll of the swords.

Unlike Starwars, Ninja Gaiden 3, Was really really tiring, just due to how many bad guys the game makes you kill. Blood and guts every where, finally an adult game with MOVE support from a different developer/publisher. So Much action that youll be happy. You had just drunk a hole bottle of energy drink. (the cut scenes are so you can rest not for taking time to talk plot) ...woot... Stupid Camera control ruined the game, it takes over automatically at the wrong times...

Got a surprise when I rented the Big game hunter 2012 for a laugh.

Found out that Killing animals is harder emotionally than I was thinking it would be.

This is worse than the dogs in resident evil or MW as those dogs attack you.

But this wants you to shoot harmless rabbits running around as nature intended with your shot gun :catsurprised:.

Kind tempted to just let the guy get eaten by a mountain lion a few times to make it even :cathappy:.

Moral compass has been put a bit out of whack but this game.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

If they would patch in Move support for Rapala Fishing Frenzy 2009, and Cabelas outdoor adventures (doesn't say which year on the front, only says 2009 on the back).

Fishing Frenzy would be great with the Move support added as it already is a great game with the 6axis, but just kinda uncomforatble after a while with the shape of the controller, Move is perfect tho.

MLB The Show 11 (or even MLB 12), is a game i think anyone who has Move should get, You can only play the Derby mode with Move, but its AWESOME, plus the atmosphere and graphics are top notch being a PS3 exclusive!

Any game i have tried with the Move, has been truely 1:1, Tiger 12 the masters, MLB 11, Killzone 3.

In MLB 11 when you rotate move wand the baseball bat in your players hand rotates 1:1 i thought that was very impressive, just as it does in Tiger 12.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

I've got the move with sports champions, tennis and killzone 3 with the machine gun attatchment thingy, and i've played on the kinect.

Move wins for me hands down down to the accuracy of the move, the sword fighting on sports champions is unbeleivably accurate, the kinect feels laggy and unaccurate on similar games, tennis is great and again very accurate and as previously mentioned, its nice to have something in your hand for these sorts of games.

I can't get the hang of killzone 3, but it think this is down to the lack of time i am willing to put into it, only had a blast for an hour or so, its so hard to get used to moving the player left and right by moving your aim outside the killzone on the screen, the aiming and killing of other players is easy enough, and quite fun, its just moving the player around thats a pain. I have been told though that if you put a bit more time in it bcaomes more natural and easier, but i dont think it will ever compete with the six axis.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

PS Move is so much better than Kinect. In a sense kinect can be considered better for maybe sports. But with the move it adds the trigger and buttons. You can play shooting games only with the move. I mean really microsoft is going to invent a fake gun, please. Move is 10x better than Kinect.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.. Remember when it was to show off Kinect at it's best?

Well You HAVE too use Kinect with a controller? just to play this game. What happened to Microsoft's " No controller needed " BS?

To be honest sounds like a complete nightmare to play from what Hands On Previewers are saying about it. At least with PS-Move we know we have to use the controller to play certain games.

As posted back in January the controller has to be used

Kinects upgrade for finger controlls was not as good as the PR from microsoft stated it would be.

Theres also a human hand developement problem. try bending your middle finger or little finger with out Moving your Ring finger. ( its very hard to do and only a few people can. touch typing teaches people to limit the ring finger movements even when fingers are bent.)

Sub topic

Got Ghost recon and Gun smith mode. Nothing New. PC Mouse emulation mode for move, Free aim is removed and you just increase turn speed the more you "move" of the centre point . (pun intended) Nav controller handles movement..

Move Use on the gunsmith mode in Ghost shows that MOVE support was possibile but Ubisoft still did not want to have to spend time fine tuning it to add free aim. There are no options on the move section to return free aim cursor. The cusor remains fixed in the center of the screen apart from recoil...

Ever time you re-enter Gunsmith, the move needs to be recalibrated its forced by the game.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

Even so being posted back in January, it's still being sold today with," No controller needed " BS? even when games like Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor made specifically for Kinect needs a controller?

I mean even today i read this about Kinect from GAME..

" Using your body as the controller you’ll be able to steer your car, shoot the bad guys and fight your opponents in games designed specifically for Kinect. Kinect for the Xbox 360 frees your mind and hands and will give you an experience that has until now gamers have only dreamed of! Full in-game interaction games that aren't restricted by wires and control pads?

(( Controller-free gaming and entertainment. Kinect provides a whole new way to play — no controller required ))

Complete lies then? as You HAVE too use Kinect with a controller? just to play this game which was d

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

Hi,

You really should not post topics about Microsoft things, because it will probably start a flame war, but then again PSN users are usually pretty nice people. I have never tried the PS Move, and I have a Kinect, and when I asked Microsoft for a repair, it took them FOUR MONTHS to send me a box to put the Kinect in, so that meant I would probably be waiting another 4-8 months to get it repaired, then another 1-4 months for it to get back to ME. Microsoft is TOO slow. Sony has the best services I've ever seen. I've been using SONY consoles ever since I started gaming in 2004, starting with PS1, then PSP, PS2, PS3, and finally, the PS Vita.
