Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

[ Edited ]

Golf games

Golf games will not be published as they don't want to be compared with the King of Move enabled golf Tigerwoods from EA. And you allready know the problems kinect has with tracking the golf swing of players, requiring users to rotate 90 degrees only on the kinect version of the title.

Tennis

Yes tennis games are poor quality but they are poor quality even on DS3. Move or kinect can't fix what is allready broken.

Dance games.

Yes these also are poor on the ground but this is because on PS3, SCE gave a free addon to Singstar away to support dance and singing at the "same exact time". This was done likely due to the over lap in the market share.

Those who like singing games also like the dance games. but SCEE also Released a reworked stand alone product spin off just for dance.

This restricted the Music licenses for most songs exclusively to the SCEE "Sing Star" license brands on PS3.

Hard to release a dance game if you can't use the titles every one expects...

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

"Two move controllers does present its own problem from the human brain.

Medieval moves is better with only one controller, the reviews say so as trying to keep a track on both arms location on screen gets to hard. This has not been corrected from SC still."

Hmm those 2 games are made by the same developer the bow problem is nothing to do with the human brain its to do with those games, the bow simply didnt work at all for me using 2 controllers, in medieval moves my character was always facing towards the left trying to shoot the floor even tho I had my hands aligned towards the camera like I was holding a bow, I was forced to use 1 controler because 2 simply didnt work with the bow at all. Using 2 move controllers in the 4am music game by pixel junk doesnt have problems at all like that the other game modes in sports champions and medieval moves work fine with 2 controllers the bow is simply broken and doesnt do what you want it to with 2 controllers.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

btw I'd just like to add that yes I know how to hold a bow lol incase people were wondering, ive actualy been and done some archery in real life :smileyvery-happy: and also I'm only speaking for medieval moves when I mention the bow I havent tried the bow in sports champions with 2 controllers I have tried the gladiator game tho and that works fine with 2 controlers (sword and shield)

Undoubtedly Kinect is better.

its no where near as accurate as it needs to be, but the likes of Dance Central and Kinect Sports are way better than any game of the same type on Wii/PS3 and are great games to play.

While I've owned a couple of Move controllers since they came out, they hardly (if ever) get used due to a severe lack of the right games to use with them. It's like..... How long has Move been out now and where is the great Tennis/Golf games? and what ever happened to Sorcery, the BIG move game demo'd at E3 then turned into a so so game.

sorry, but while Kinect has it's faults, it is better for gaming than the 1:1 game lacking #Move controller.

You are joking right?.

As i said before about the Tennis and Golf games ..

Move does have definitive Golf and Tennis games. These were released about a year ago

Virtua Tennis 4 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H1GWoYQuKQ )

Tiger Woods PGA 11 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1WhxebCe5Q )

But i am shocked that Kinect makes you stand ( face on ) to the TV playing golf, instead of facing sideways to the TV like normal stance when playing Wii, PS3. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbBfO51Tm0k ) Must seem weird playing like that.

As for Sorcery, a few things got changed from that E3 demo shown, ( much like 90% of games on the market ) even though everything was basic in the game, it's still good never the less.

As for " Undoubtedly Kinect is better " that's your opinion and that's fine, but IMO far from the thruth.

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

Ummm... where do I start?

Well the thing is, they are both very different. Soooo different that you can't even compare them to one another! The only real similarities that they share are that they are both motion-controlled and both add ons for their respective consoles. I haven't got a 360 so I really don't know what Kinect is like, however I do have Move, and can tell you somer great things about it:

- It's a lot of fun with friends

- Most of the games that are "Move-Only" are family games, so they are age-friendly

- It gives you a different kind of gaming experience, not quite like the Wii, nor the previous EyeToy

- Best motion-controlled precision offered on the market

So there you go, I do know it has it's down's, but there are plenty of up's to it aswell! So if your looking for something different, definately give it a try!

Re: Kinect better than PS Move....?

I'm not sure about the definition of 'better'. However, I DO know that the Kinect is the more innovative of the two. While the move is nothing more than a Wii Mote, (and despite all the hype, it's not really more precise than the Wii Mote), the Kinect is something really new.

The Move is at its end, development-wise, apart from the upcoming wonderbook addition (but arguably, that's a different pheripheral), while Kinect is only starting. Xbox720 will probably have a much better integrated Kinect version, that will allow 3D, controller-free handling of the xbox menu (think a 3D Windows 8 Metro interface), making it a small step for Kinect to move from xbox to PC and mobile phone.

So, while the Move has its fun implementations (and my 2 year old son is only beginning to use it), the Kinect is going to go much further.

Kinect 2

Thats gonna be how much.......

The genius of the sony system is that you could feasibly upgrade incrementally.    What the move really needs is a better camera and better developers.  They were given something that can track and use sixaxis control and also has microphone support but all we got was poor calibration, drift, and wagglewear.

the kinect is pretty awful in some respects. (my son has one) He consistently reports multiple issues with it.

Both let them play decent games as apposed to the family orientated style of the wii.  Sadly the wiiu will blow both out the water.
