Okay I've pre-ordered my Move controller, navigator and base with Sports Champions first game on the list from play.com. I'm hoping to get sweaty, build some muscles and oogle at a new HD world (unlike Wii's cutesy-kiddish) ![]()
But you know I was wondering how the MOVE will differentiate itself from the Wii and kinect. I say bring us as much fun and REALISM as PS3 possibly can. First the fitness games: bring back Nike's workout (originally on Eyetoy), get involved with get fit companies like David Lloyds and football teams.
Bring out a game that mimicks the Minority Report interface and show us how easy it can be done with the PS3 eye, then add on the time travelling, crime solving and shooting elements. (Magnifying glass action? smash windows, walls, open doors, etc)
Fighting/boxing/martial arts action type games: Maybe an x-men type gamewhere you can physically dodge using ps3 eye to track your body and the controllers to cast web, shot laser from the eyes, etc. Maybe the height of where you position the controllers will help the system recognise that a high move is shoot lasers from eyes, chest height to fly, waist to do something else?!
A lethal move where (say in Modern Warfare) you are just behind an enemy and you do a knife swing motion to slit their throat or stab in back!
A Road rash remake? Ride like normal then a swing of MOVE controller to pull of punches, kicks, swing of weapons, etc. Two player would be hilarious.
Imagine Jet Set radio remake where you sway your body to move left and right, then jump to jump (!) and then using the move to spray grafitti.... and then fist fights with gang members.
Oh and then a remake of warriors... story, fist fighting, wrestling, street fighting. Oh so much more... like soul calibur or tekken.
I think in all these cases the difficulty must begin casual but get harder so gamers get a sense of overcoming challeges and wanting to progress in game/story. Something the Wii is lacking or not taking seriously!
How about another Champion sports game with: rowing, skiing, running (put sticks down by side and run with them), basketball (pretend the move are hands) and life MOVE in air to shoot (accuracy counts- but include an easy mode for casual players), darts, fishing, pillow fighting?!
And a Kinect killer.... why not just release cheap glow balls which you hold in your hands and copy exactly what Kinect does. Maybe a glow glove? Surely the ps3 eyetoy can track easily?
Move games should have difficulty settings like 'first timer', 'casual' and 'gamer' so to appeal to as mass market as possible.
A Zelda killer! Actions like swing with sword, throw boomerang, drink potion, climb, jump, net, push , lift door, defend with shield, punch with shield, throw daggers, blow horn, etc.
Come on Sony! Inspire the gamer in us!

It's something completly silly but i imagined a game like the shootout in the matrix.
Basically 1 player with 4 move controllers and a body holster. each move would be a seperate gun/weapon and you have them on different parts of your body.
so dual pistols on you hips(2 move)
sword on the back
rifle on back
the fact that people would get utterly confused between each weapon and practically no one will have 4 moves means it will never happen.
I'd like to see sme of the tech demos made, most noteable the cameleon one and the toy rts with wooden tanks.

Sure, but you'll have to wait 3 years for them to look into it.

Are there not people who get paid to come up with idea for PS Move games or ways to incorporate it into games? Regardless, I agree with the person who said God of War III, I think using the 2 controlls as the blades could work well.
