I never have a drift problem with mine, and I don't calibrate it the way they tell you to!

I never point it at the camera - I point directly at the center of the screen. Works perfectly for me.

Same here, I actualy had to look up drift an watch a youtube vid to know what it was, never had an issue with sports champ etc but with with KZ3 I did get some issues but it ain't drift (as per vids I watched) its outright fail, drift seems gradual what i had was insta epic left turn spam right after I did stiff with the wheel in game like turn a valve/plant mine, but as per some drift thread comment I just pointed the sharp shooter to the ceiling it it was fine. So whenever I rest now I just point my controller/gun to the ceiling.

Re: Move Drift Solution?

Well, according to a few post ago, this is your problem, because worked with his. :smileytongue: Yea, alot of people having these problems. It really seems like a combo of, hardware, software, and calibration performance. What is working for some is not for others. I have a buddy who could not play killzone 3 with the move and sharpshooter without terrible cursor drift. His move worked with every other game he tried(his words). He bought a new move today and no drift. He can switch between the two and duplicate results. Now, i suggest he don't play any other move game with that move that works, because today I found that a reset and xmb calibration for the most part solved drifting(still some but manageable), only when I fired dead space extraction up, the axises reversed...yea, left right became up down. A restart corrected this but not the drift. I return to killzone and my old friend the drifty cursor was back. Reset move and works again(close enough). This the replacement move they sent me, btw.

Re: Move Drift Solution?

qucki post

been messing around still

saw a link to this guy who actually knew what he was talking about and the light adjustment is based on how bright the ps eye see the orb on the end of the move controller.

so just shine a light on the orb insted of the eye and the room will calibrate darker.

Also been messing with angles

insted of having the tv on the bottom or the top of the tv I have placed it about 2 feet above the tv

the aim is awsome now.  like the one good day i had before

still will drift slightly but it seems a gental side to side motion keeps it in place

oddly enough now the up and down which centered it before acutally is making it drift

and i noticed that it may drift if not aim around at all

but not really sure, just kinda noticed it

all in all though it seems to be fine now

lets see if tomorrow im pulling my hair out again though.

Re: Move Drift Solution?

INTERESTING

so i though i had it figured out again and i stubbled on to a thing i havent heard of yet

when i have the ps eye plugged directly into my ps3 with no attachment/extentions along the way

then my aim works fine and it doesnt drift

but i attached an usb extension cord to it and plugged it in and the aim went back to the usual *****ty drift and any movement sent it on its way to what ever it felt like doing

now i got this good aim once before and i thought it was because of the light (which i was messing around with at the time) but then like not it just seemed to disapear.

i cant say because i mess with it so much and pull this cord and put the camera here and turn of that light that i may have changed the camera usb set up and didnt pay attention to it

Right now the camera is 2 feet about my tv (messing with angles right now, figure better triangulation, no idea what im doing really) and the camera is pluged directly into the ps3 with no extension or attachments

So try it out.  Plug the camera directly into the ps3 and see if it helps.

cheers!

Re: Move Drift Solution?

The post about it being a software problem is interesting (heard it lots before)

used to have time crysis but traded it as the aim was messed and though it was the games fault

well now i want to rent it and see if the software update has fixed it.

If it is perfect i will have a renewed trust in the move

if not...   I guess my late night obsession will live on

Note: I have 4 move controllers and they all function the same.  so not defective or i got really bad luck

Re: Move Drift Solution?

A real game breaker for shooting games.

Here's hoping this issue can be fixed with a patch.

Re: Move Drift Solution?

Same here, this issue is anoying.

Why they don`t fix this? this is a real deal, specially for shooters. It makes thems unplayable.

Still no word from SONY.. this sucks.

Re: Move Drift Solution?

New camera made no difference. I am returning my moves, cam and 2 shooters. Very disappointed.
