Recently I bought Sports Champions because I liked the demo. Unfortunately the game doesn't work as expected. when I power up my PS3 and start the game (the disc is already inserted) the move controller won't calibrate at all. The only way to get it working is to stop the game and start another move game/demo (e.g. racket sports), calibrate the move, end the game/demo and start Sports Champions again. After successful calibration the Move motion controller works flawlessly in Sports Champions.

This procedure is very irritating because it takes up a lot of time.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Does sony monitor this forum or should I report this elsewhere for a solution?

Here is some technical information:

40GB PS3 original model without ps2 compatibility

3.50 firmware installed

using an existing ("old") PS-Eye

have you tried calibrating in the XMB menu?

I have seen something like this a couple of times.

If I start the game with 2 controllers, one calibrates OK, but the other not.. In the end I have to switch off the 2nd controller, let the game start and then switch it on again, at which point it asks for calibration and succeeds.

Its only done this a couple of times, so I just put it down to an insignificant glitch!

Try these:

Assign the move to port 7

Make sure the eye can see you

close curtains and blinds

Recalibrate in XMB settings and in the game

Disconnect eye and move and reconnect.

Calibrating in the XMB menu seems to solve the problem.

Unfortunately recalibrating helped only a few times. Once it helped to turn off all light sources behind me but another time that didn't help either. So I keep on tinkering when I want to play Sports Champions.
