Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone who downloaded the TV Superstars demo from the PS Store has been able to record their voice when creating a contestant?

I'm not sure if it's a problem with the demo or if my Playstation Eye Microphone is faulty/broken.

Xross Media Bar - its that thing you navigate with :/

Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings.

make sure the input device is set to USB Camera and then set the output device to your prefered speakers.

My microphone and pretty much everything else on the eye camera broke too! So i returned it! Instead I bought a new one off ebay for really cheap and it works great! I bought it off this ebay site that had great prices and a huge selection of items!

I just got the PS Eye with a Move controller, and had this same problem. The TV Superstars demo was my first experience of using the mic, and it didn't work.

I have since found the settings on the XMB, but although I have selected USB camera as the audio device, and system default device (no other option) as the output, I can only select mic level 3, because 1, 2, 4 and 5 are greyed out, and the sound level bar doesn't move. I tried to set the echo control, but when it put that high pitched sound out through the speakers, nothing registered on the mic and an error message came up saying it couldn't set this.

Is there something I'm missing or is this item faulty? I have the receipt and can get back to the shop at the weeknd if it needs replacing, but I don't want to look silly for missing something obvious. Any help much appreciated, spam excluded.

Edit: I managed to partly rectify this by rebooting the PS3 with the Eye connected already (previously I had plugged it in AFTER booting the PS3 up)

However, I still can't change the mic level from 3, as the other numbers are greyed out. Any ideas why?

At least it now works, and i like playing with the voice changer. Mayvbe the problem I had was also other people's problem, so hopefully this will help them. Plug it into the USB on the front of the PS3 before you boot it up.
