weird, looks like they bumped the story.  that link should work.    Its a 4 part dev diary being posted on the blog.  It didnt say if it was weekly or the usual randomness of the blog but keep an eye there.

Re: Sorcery Dev/Tech Diary pt2

Ive been watching the dev dairys on Ps3Youtube thes past few days and its shaping up to be a great use of the Moves tech. Been waiting a long time for this to be released, have to pinch myself whenever I see the display cases on shelves :smileyvery-happy: I can only afford to get either Starhawk or Sorcery these next few weeks (buying a 3d tv in a few days) and to be honest it may end up being Sorcery

Re: Sorcery its out.

[ Edited ]

Well its out.

And the worries over Replay value were correct, there moaning about lack of replay value allready.

With out any announcement of DLC quests, once you finish the Single player, You won't be going back. This is partly due to the linear level design with very little freedom in were you get to go.

But at £2 per hour play time for the Non store BD version will you care...

Its on My rental list still.

Re: Sorcery its out.

IGN have done a review, the game is only six hours long and although they say its one of moves best games, its not a great game unfortunately.

Re: Sorcery its out.

Hmm I'm beginning to wonder why I highly regard Sony and their first party games above all others..

I'll wait until its 99p then.

That pretty much sums up all single player games.  (non open world)

Re: Sorcery its out.

just attempted to play the demo...

I would say without any doubt that anyone wishing to purchase this should play the demo.  Bad doesnt begin to describe the experience.

great concept, poor execution.   My wand was all over the place. I couldnt get any consistency from the controller.

tried both controllers and tried different assigned slots (7-1) and no change. just broken beyond belief.

Re: Sorcery its out.

Had no problems using MOVE as the game Has AUTO aiming Correction system.

Agree they should have added more instructions to the demo to explain that there is an auto aim added and that tilt control has no real effect on targeting high selection instead its the globes location difference from your starting config position that selects higher targets.

Yes its a minor point as this is only possible with move controls. But how many wizards cast a spell bye holding there wand 1 inch from there chest and then tilting there wand up to shoot the bad guy. They don't they stick the arm out above there chest pointing the wand at the bad guy.

The games use of potions that need to be shaken before use will take time to get used to this makes there usage take a lot longer than just pressing one button but that its magic style.

Another Thing I can see users having a problem with is moving there arm forward/ backwards to move objects but because this game requires full 3D movement.

This is shown by the key use in the demo. Like real life the Key requires being pushed in to the lock. That's The same Move game play that confused a lot of users in heavy rain.

(Forward was being confused with up. Backwards was being confused with Down.)

Up. Down. Left, right is easy for users that's the norm. But forward and backward is a no.

Killzone 3 melle command also had this problem.

(To stab some one with the knife you had to stab forward with the Move as you would a knife. Lots of users....

CANT DO THIS.

Normally because there arm is fully out stretched during normal move use. which is the wrong play style, If was later patched out to a button..)
