Re: The Fight - Product Info

Wish they had a demo for this so I can give it a try and see if it's something I can catch on to.

Re: The Fight - Product Info

we picked up The Fight for Christmas - had a good play around with it yesterday (boxing day lol), my arms are aching today! I'm gonna try and play through the pain barrier tonight. How are you dividing up your skill points? Is there any characteristics you should favour early on in your career?

Re: The Fight - Product Info

i always kept my strength, speed and technique about 10 points above the rest, but keeping them pretty even would probably work best coz leaving any too low will make things harder as you progress
all of them are capped at 100 except speed and strength, havn't gone much over 100 with those yet so i'm not sure where they are capped

thanks for the tips, much appreciated. I've got the speedball technique working now to get 50 skill points each time I train, I'll spread the points evenly but keep strength, speed and technique a few points higher.

[ Edited ]

it all depends on how you play it, if your swinging heaps you'll want to boost your stamina, if your taking heaps of punches you'll need to keep your chin and heart higher.
however if you picking your punches, moving and blocking effectively you can just focus on technique, speed and strength and maybe stamina if your stamina bar is going down too quickly

(brief outline of stats copied from another forum)
Strength:
How much damage you do.

Speed:
Increase lean and walk speed. High speed makes quick combos drain less stamina.

Stamina:
Affect how fast/slow stamina bar is reduced when punching.

Heart:
Controls health regeneration, if you got max heart and is not getting hit for a while the health (the red bar) will start to fill up to max 50%. (it takes pretty long time so it's not that easy to notice).

Chin:
Affect how easy you're to knock out (white bar in health).

Tech:
How fast you autorotate towards opponent + autoaim when using dualshock/sixaxis.

Re: The Fight - Product Info

ok, they are all capped at 100, but your boosters can push them over 100, as all mine are capped, but some are at 102 and my strength is at 104

thanks for the info :smileyhappy: It's going to take quite a few speedball sessions to max out the stats!

Re: The Fight - Product Info

got this game for my boyfriend for xmas - he's over the moon!  had his first fight xmas morning, he loved it cause he used to box quite a bit, and he said to me 'there's no way in hell you could get me to go for a 30 min walk a day to get fit - but playing this for 30 mins coupled with some situps & pushups? yeah i could do this every day!'

looking forward to seeing his fighter progress through the game!

as you progress it takes more and more skill points to raise you ability points, for example - to go from 31 to 32 it takes 3 skill points but to go from 91 to 92 it takes 10 skill points   (or something similar)
towards the end i normally worked on getting around 300 skill points (always with target practice) and around 10 fights each session, but i've still got plenty of fights left plus quite a few to go back and nail
