Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

[ Edited ]

Roslinman, the opposite worked for me.

When standing up (with eyetoy under the TV) at about 2 m, it went haywire. But when I sat down at camera height it was fine

Maybe it was due to the angle.  On the plus side once you get into the game just hit circle to re-centre the cursor, then all was fine for me.

It is a most elusive fish! A-fish, a-fish, a-fish, a-fishy, ooooh

Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

I've not had any problems with The Shoot, and I'm sat less than 2m away. If I remember correctly you have to aim at the centre of the screen for the first stage of calibration, not the centre of the camera. Ignore the camera feed in the background and just point an imaginary line towards the centre of the crosshair in the screen.

Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

standing 1.5 metres away from the tv with the eye on top I had no trouble calibrating.  By the end of the demo however the target cursor had slipped about an inch to the left.  Very odd.

Yep, the on screen sight drifts...for me always to the right. Have to continually recalibrate. It would be pointless buying a gun add-on and trying to shoot down the barrel.

Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

I've had no problems whatsoever with the calibration on The Shoot.

Is everybody sure that they're pointing their controller at the targets and then shooting them? If you keep it still trying to shoot both targets, you'll end up messing the calibration up and have no crosshair. A mistake which I'll admit I done the first time. XD

Could people tell me if this worked for them? Remember, point at the targets when you shoot them, imagine there's a crosshair already there, even though there's not. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

yeah i closed one eye and looked down the 'barrel' if you like (for all the calibration), but the calibration had still slipped by the end of the demo.

Re: The Shoot - Calibration woes

Got it to work, and it works perfectly. Thing I was doing wrong was having my arm stretched and pointing at the camera, you should just do it relaxed and quite far from the camera if you want, then do the target things likewise.

The game is really fun but I have issues on doing the special powers, there is no tutorials on how to do them. Spinning the controller around does SOMETHING but it does look like it's slowing time down...

spining on the spot gives you bullet time, pointing to the floor a firing gives you shockwave and fireing to the sky gives you rampage (rapid fire) thats all of them as far as i know

oh it gives you bullet time!  I've been spinning around like a loon then waiting to see what happens... lol.  I'd love to see some videos of people trying move for the first time - I'm sure I looked ridiculous..
