In addition to the ten available characters in SC (full version, haven't tried the demo) there's a random selection button plus seven locked slots. Are there actually additional characters - I don't recall reading about any in reviews - and if so, does anyone know the requirements for when you start unlocking them? So far I'm only just getting started on the six disciplines, with archery being the only one where I've finished the 33 bronze matches.

Nobody is able to answer this? Surely someone must have spent many hours playing SC already?

honestly i've not noticed the extra slots. I've completed the bronze table tennis with 33 stars and the archery. So far i know u can unlock extra costumes and equipment.

Side note: The custom sound tracks is a god send in the game as the in game music drives me up the wall!

hey can someone tell me how to use the unlocked items in sports champions i cant seem to find them

When you select a character it shows at the bottom of the screen which buttons you can use for swapping outfits and equipment (circle and cross if I recall correctly).

There was a time where I always read manuals, even when the games were self explanatory. Perhaps I should get into that habit again .

haha i only read it because i unlocked stone discs and groovey discs in the golf thing today and thought they were upgrades but it seems its just the looks that change and nothing else
