Welcome to the PlayStation Technical Help & Support Forums!

This is where you can post questions on any technical problems you may be having. Before you post its worth doing a search of the relevant board to see if your question has already been answered.

To use these boards, simply post your question and wait for it to be answered. Your question may be given an ‘Accepted Solution’ – this is an answer which has been accepted as the best solution to your problem.

When posting, please make sure that the thread title clearly describes your issue. "Big problem! Need help" does not give a clear indication of the problem and should therefore be avoided.

This will help other users and members of staff to assist you better.

Below are links to the other support boards, the House Rules and the FAQ section of the PlayStation Website.

Re: Welcome to the PlayStation Technical Help & Support Forums!

Unable to power up my PS4 console it blinks blue and then immediately turns off, I hear a click in the console when it does and I have to unplug and try again because it won't let me do it again, and I have a game stuck in side

Re: Welcome to the PlayStation Technical Help & Support Forums!

Have you tried putting it into safe mode ?? hold your finger on the power button until you hear the 2nd beep (about 7 secs) and then select "rebuild database". If this fails, try again and select "initialize PS4" note that initializing the PS4 will delete all data, and restore the PS4 to like it was out of the box

Actually, yes. A quietish click from the power relay upon power-up, and when the white light eventually goes out when you turn it off.

This is completely normal.

The level of the click may vary depending on the relay used, etc, so one batch of PS4s may be quieter than others, hense why it's not obvious to Renze.

Re: Welcome to the PlayStation Technical Help & Support Forums!

Well, I have to admit I've never had my ear near my PS4 when I turn it on or off, but that's because it's in an open cabinet under my TV. It may also be because I always put my console into standby instead of off, so it is still drawing power. Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the PlayStation Technical Help & Support Forums!

Perhaps, when making a "Welcome to technical support, here's how to report blah blah" thread, you could lock the thread so people actually start a new thread about their problem as instructed instead of just adding their problem as a reply to the welcome thread.

Of course, you can't make them read it.
