As is always the case with PS3, XBOX360 and PC gaming, there's always a greater population that'll be able to find cheats. The latest juggernaut Call of Duty:MW2 isn't immune to such a population, despite the calls for a boycott, and the folks at Infinity Ward and Valve have worked hard to weed out the many rounds of cheaters. When the MW3 comes out in Nov they a hoping to stop the mass cheating from the past.

The only way to stop cheating on COD is dedicated servers on the current peer 2 peer it is too open to abuse and better coding of game data that kids can't readily modify.

Its great that they actually ban people. People think they are immune to things because its over the internet and what they think is annonamous actually isn't.
I'd like harsher punishments too.

What harder punishment they should get, The DISC get's banned so even if you sold it the other person can't play it!

Ive not heard of any disc bannings, i've heard of 30 day bans but thats it

From the title, I thought you were saying that 6,500 were banned from cheating but that it's ok for the rest of us

a tad late considering another game has been and going with another just around the corner

if it was done as soon as people were caught cheating it would b worth the fuss but be serious for a minute
