I'm still slightly confused, sorry

Either you are unable to activate your ACCOUNT on this PS3, because Sony believe you have activated it on 5 previous consoles - in which case only they can help.

Or the actual PS3 ITSELF has been blocked (from PSN) - possibly due to it having previously being identified as doing something rather dodgy. But again, I guess only Sony could reverse that.

I'm not quite clear on which is the case, but both have the same solution (or lack of solution if Sony are refusing to do anything).

Sorry mate, you should have deactivated your content every time you flogged the machine.

That's what I have done in the past. If you don't it either comes back to haunt you like this, or you are defo gamesharing.

Look people the same thing happened to me .. the fact is u might have been game sharing or not .. once u deactivate an account the fact is that u MUST wait 7 days without downloading anything on that account .. jus try to avoid logging into the account for those 7 days to make sure u make no mistakes .. once it says ur account hasnt been logged in for 7 days then ur homefree .. enjoy all ur content .. i ***** u not if it doesnt work then u can all give me bad reports or something but try it trust me ull b the happiest person in the world .. i was a skeptic but once it says account activated i got an adredaline rush of happiness

same as me, it says its activated in 5accounts so m=i told my mates to de activate and delete now it says error

i have had 3 playstation 3s & my account was on all of them but i didnt deactivate my account on any of them as i wasnt aware you had 2 do this ( thanks SONY not ) & 4 some reason i cant re activate even though i should be able 2 it keeps coming up error code 80029780 so you are sayin if i stay signed out of my account 4 7 days & then sign in i should be able 2 activate my account again ? & that this worked 4 you if so & this works 4 me as well i will be very grateful 2 u please reply 2 this ASAP

according to that, yes, if you wait 7 days you should be able to download content to an unactivated system. hope that helps
