Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Hi,

Anyone shed any light on the issue. I am having trouble trying to add funds to my wallet. When trying to add funds to wallet all I get is credit card invalid. I have checked several times my card info in edit credit card info, removed info then re-input but still not working.

The credit card information is not valid.

Please check your entries carefully.

Help please...

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Hi,

I am also having this problem. Todays date is 20/11/10.

It tells me my credit card on file is not valid and to recheck my details. I have checked them and rechecked them. I even deleted them and put them in again and then reboot my PS3 and still get the same message.

Anyone know what's happening as this is the first time I have ever had a problem on PSN.

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

It's a common problem, that I've also experienced. I've heard that you must enter the details EXACTLY as they appear on your paper invoices. Taking note of capital letters, commas in address lines, everything. I've yet to have any success however and as such have never bought anything from PSN even though I would like to.

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Hi! I have had the very same problem!! My boyfriens gave me my Christmas gift early. Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock bundle with my favor instrument.....THE DRUMS!! And now that I've looked in the song library I was trying to purchase a new song. Every time that I put in my card info it said invalid. THEN, as I was checking the info once again online I noticed that i was being charged $1 for every time that I tried submitting my information!!! Has anyone figured this out?!? And check your accounts!! I got all of the attempts refunded back! I would love to purchase items!!!

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Same story. A woeful system - come on Sony sort this out. There are customers walking away frustrated despite the fact they are inputting correct card numbers / CVV etc.

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Same here... tried 4 different cards (one not even from NZ) and same ol, same ol.

This sucks... been waiting months for BC2 Vietnam and now can't buy it.

Come on Sony sort you ***** out!

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Having the same problem here in the UK.

My previous card was fine and worked no problems. It expired so I went to put the new details in (new expiry date and CVV number) nothing else was changed.

Card details invalid, please check entries.

NOTHING else has changed. This is very frustrating especially from reading other forums, this problem has existed for a couple years it seems.

I've not had any problems before but it's been several months since I last bought anything. I can only assume a recent firmware update has broken the system.

Come on Sony, get it sorted or I'm walking and taking my money with me!

Badderspj.

Re: Adding Funds - Credit card info not valid

Just switched from Xbox to PS3 in the UK and I've got to say my first experience of adding funds has been terrible..

Did not accept debit card.. did not accept credit card (from a different bank!).. tried doing everything online.. making sure all details are correct etc.

Then rung bank... My payment has been referred to the fraud dept due to the way Sony are putting the transaction through..  great.. my bank account now on hold!.

From what I can make out my problems are due to

1. The verified by Visa scheme that Sony seem to ignore.

2. The pre-charge, that Sony don't advise, for £1 follows the exact pattern that fraudsters use to check credit cards will work.. so when banks see this transaction they are extremely wary.

3. The message 'invalid credit card' is completely wrong.. basically the issuing banks are refusing authorisation... so if you try and repeat payment, as I did, it just makes the problem worse and flashes red lights at the fraud depts of the banks !

Come on Sony this is ridiculous.. you are loosing £ms in lost income..
