I get a variety of problems:

1.I get signed out of PSN randomly

2."A connection to the network could not be established" when trying to sign into the PSN

3.It says my ethernet cable gets disconnected randomly.. but it's still plugged into both the router and the PS3

4.I get error 80710102

When testing my network connection I connect, and get an IP address, but it sometimes stops and fails at connecting to the PSN. I have no problems with my PC which is also connected via ethernet cable to the router. I've had problems with PSN before(maybe being disconnected from a game once a week, or having to try signing into PSN a second time for success), but never like this. I can't stayed signed in for more than 2 minutes. It started doing this around 1.5 weeks ago

yeah same here buddy

get signed out everytime on my 40gb phat ps3 randomly and it has happened for the last 2 weeks

dosent happen when im playing modern warfare 3 though

I also have the same error appearsappears like it only occurred since last update around 2 weeks ago, be half way through a game and Ethernet drops out.  Have reset Modem and changed ports but same issue keeps reappearing.... Will work ok for a couple of hours then drop out again.

Any ideas on fix would be great.

have you set your ps3 in dmz mode?..

No problems with PSN my end can stay signed in 24/7 if i wanted to. PS3 is connected via ethernet placed in a DMZ and i use OpenDNS's DNS servers and media server connection is disabled. Try the DMZ link RONNYNS has posted above.
