Re: Best Broadband For PS3?

Don't get BT. Ever. They won't let me have broadband. (It's to do with the exchange, and only they can upgrade it. And they won't. Bastards.)

Firstly, although I have no used BT broadband, I have experienced there customer service, which is terrible. Four times they have contacted us informing us we could get broadband. Four times we signed up for the package, bought all the required hardware, set everything up, and it didn't work. They kept sending out engineers and stuff, who spent most of their time looking at the lines (as in, literally looking at). And four times, about a month later, they simply said "Yeah, we lied, you can't get broadband. Sucks for you." Every time I email them they simply say "We're getting it to you". Like hell you are. Secondly, from the research I've done, reviews I've read and people I talk to, not many think BT broadband is the best. It may surprise you, but I am actually quite knowledgeable with computers. Thirdly, how am I a noob? Please enlighten me. Fourthly, where the **** did doughnuts come from, Mr I-have-a-picture-of-food-as-my-avatar? Awaiting your reply...

After reading this, I wondered how noobish had anything to do with, routers and broadband?
I aslo am with you on this BT were horrible although when i got it the package is okay, they messed me about for a couple weeks, about how where i live isnt in area or some sh*t. Also, i met UkImpact online once, we werent friendly, ill leave it at that.

and for Gantas, to be honest my friend, BT is okay, but not the best, im with bt so theres no other i can recommend, sorry.

Re: Best Broadband For PS3?

My Advice is Stay away from BT like the Plague , Ive had them in the past and my friend currently has BT and its a 12 month contract so hes stuck with it.

Virgin Media is pretty good as it goes by Coaxial Cable.

PlusNet Ive been with them for 2 years now service has been great up to they changed their Terms of Usage.

This is the ISP I will be migrating to asap.

Not very well known but I am confident they will offer me a brillant service.

Dont always go for the Most Popular ISP as they spend thousands on Advertising

But whatever you do decide always read the Terms and Conditions and all that stuff they try to hide , U know the Small print!.

Like when I was looking for a new ISP many companys had alot of hidden stuff that u only find out about by reading the Smaill print. Which many people do not do. Like My Friend who got Bt lol.

So my advice go with http://www.ukonline.net/?sso_auth=0

Well goodluck Sir.

Re: Best Broadband For PS3?

I've just changed my provider from BT to madasafish.com My connection speed doubled at worst and ping improved no end. Slightly cheaper than bt and better download limit. If you think about going with them then PM me as I can give you a code for getting a discount when you sign up.
