Best ISP for playing PS3 Online?

I'm about to move house, so I'm going to be freed of the shackells of my damn Toucan contract (it's nearly run out anyway).

I'm moving to a cabled area, so I'm considering signing up to VirginMedia, but I was wondering if anyone had problems with them?

What I'm after is an internet service provider with litle or no problems dealing with the Playstation Network and online gaming.

Answers on a postcard (or just reply to this thread).:smileyvery-happy:

BT I think, all the others are a bit nifty with it.

I use virgin media and personally have no problems with gaming online, I usually get towards the top end speeds I pay for, saying that in some areas it is terrible and customer service is really poor.

Virgin Media is THE Gaming ISP Provider, i play Online on PC Becasue i havent got my PS3 yet, i have a 2MB Connection and when connecting to servers in america there barely any ping (abomut 20-75 tops) Japan and China are about 140-170 though because of the distance though its still great, depends wher you live though My Dad has SKY And it is brutal, customer service is very poor and you will NEVER and i guarantee tha you will NEVER get the peak Speed.

My friend drops out a lot on his sky connection, so he says, he may just be sick of me beating him on resistance :smileywink:

If you are in a cabled area then Virgin are probably good. If you are gonna be getting your bb throught the phone line i seriously suggest reading the Virgin Media ADSL - PSN Problem thread,

Re: Best ISP for playing PS3 Online?

Having read the recent reviews of Virgin's cable broadband on ISP review I'm tempted to stick to ADSL, and looking at the thread mentioned I'll be steering clear of Virgin's ADSL service too.
