I've been using Blip for a while now on my PS3, and it used to work well up until around the end of July. What happened to change this? Was it in the PS3 coding or is it something on Blip's end?

Firmware 3.40 is to blame for this, and the demise of the few remaining PS3 compatible sites, since Sony, in it's infinite wisdom, decided to fiddle with the browser's Flash Player, successfully breaking compatibility with a lot of sites, and not bothering to fix it.

This has annoyed me too.

Also I find on YouTube you can't select the HD version.

So for my vblog - daveac.blip.tv - the PS3 is pretty useless :-(

Blip.tv Killed the browser play back Not Sony, Blip.Tv could have stayed with a PS3 browser player BUT they chose NOT TO. nothing to do with firmware They choose to ignore the requests sent to them before the player change.

The Sony media player enables has over 30 channels  on its Internet streaming and none available through playstation 3.  The ability should be reinstated asap and not just Crackle, include HD version on You Tube and Pandora and the rest.  Sony should not excommunicate playstation 3 from the emerging and growing Sony Entertainment Network.
