Can't add funds using prepai card anymore

Hi. After several attempts to add funds to my wallet and numerous phone calls to SCEE. I still cannot add funds to my wallet after almost two weeks. Do you have any ideas why this is. My Prepaid mastercard works fine on Itunes and Paypal. SCEE have taken multiple temporary authorisations from my account, proving the card works, yet I still can't add funds to my wallet. The last time I added funds to my account was Jan 2009. I really want to get this working so I can purchase some DLC. I've tried everything Sony told me - but nothing seems to work. I can't bekieve their servers are still jammed with people downloading DLC map packs.

Please help me.

Re: Can't add funds using prepai card anymore

I've recently added funds to my wallet from a prepaid card, so a coupla things you may want to try.

1. I've noticed w/many of the prepaid cards you may have to goto the (prepaid cards) website and register your address and some info online before it will charge at the PS store. So  try going to the cards website.

2. The one that gave me the most probs. If you buy a $25 card and try to put the full $25 in your PS wallet, it will decline it, because PS verifies that it's a good card by billing it $1which then leaves you a balance of $24, which will decline if you try to charge 25. (go figger) :smileyhappy:

Good luck and happy hunting.

Re: Can't add funds using prepai card anymore

The card is already registered online, and I have used it before to buy DLC. However, the card won't work on PS network now. It does work on Paypal and Itunes. Also Sony have taken £8 in temporary authorisations. My bank said these should go back onto my acount within 3-4 days - so far nothing has happened. And Sony say its not their fault. DIRTY LYING B*ASTARDS!!

Your problem is your pre pay card company has blocked payment because of the way sony take the payment from them.

Pre pay card work on princible of a single transaction but sony take the payment in thr form of a direct debit which pre pay doesn't allow.

I have been suffering with the same problem & contacted sony telling them what my pre pay card company had told me.

I then got a phone call about 3 weeks ago from sony & was told they were trying to get it sorted out & have forwarded the problem onto head office to get the situation resolved.

When i will be fix i haven't the foggiest as i wasn't give a date or think to ask for one. :Shame:
