Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

Yes it is the same for me. I filled in the numbers that i set on the playstation ip adress and clicked enable, so that must be fine. But sitll i can't join my friends..

I tried upnp, port forward and dmz. Is there also a combination i could try with these 3?

Thanks!!!

Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

I would phone your provider and ask them why you can't join friends.

Having tried everything (UPnP, DMZ, port forwarding) there's not much else to suggest.

Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

I will do that first thing in the morning. What is the best combination with UPNP, dmz and port forwarding?

Al those together or just upnp etc..

According to what I've read you don't need UPnP enabled on the console whilst in DMZ, but you will have to forward the UDP ports.

It might not be just your connections fault if your friend(s) are also stuck behind a strict firewall that'll cause problems connecting to them.

Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

Hi,

I now even tried tot connect my ps3 directly to my modem and i still couldn't join most people. It says nat type 1, but there are still difficulties. Can there be a problem with my ps3 or only, my modem? What else can i do?

Thanks in advance!

Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

Ensure you have set the PS3 it's own static IP, and that the IP chosen is the one you are using for the DMZ. It's possible that if not set correctly, then each time the PS3 is connected to the network it may be allocated a different IP instead so all DMZ settings will be ignored.

Ideally you want Nat Type 2.

Re: DMZ, UPNP and stil can't join!

You do have a broadband connection not dial-up?
