Are you using two seperate accounts, or is one a main account and one a sub account?
If your using the sub account and your son is using the main, it might be that?
Just a guess as I havent encounterd your error codes

No mate 2 separate accounts ..

Thing is its not because of having 2 ps3's online at the same time, over the same router wirelessly, this problem was happening before the 2 ps3's. It all happened just after i downloaded and installed the 1.80 update, before the update my co0nnection gaming had no-problems coming in n out o games...

I think im going to have to wait for another update and hope sony recognise the problem and fix it with the next

Re: Playstation 3 OnlinePorts and Error Codes

Hello everyone.

This is my first post, as I am at my wit's end and I am hopeful that anyone outthere may be able to help me resolving this bugging annoying problem of PSN.

I have rang Netgear Technical support, and PS's network gaming careline (care, my foot).

They are completed rubbish because they basically saying that "Sorry, you need ot contact PS3/Netgear Manufacturer about this". They seems to me that they try to fibble this off to otherl manufacturer.

Okay, let me explain my situation here.

I can access to PS store and can surf the internet on my PS3 without any problem.

However, when I try to play games online (namely Motorstorm and Resitensce of Fall of Men), I couldn't do so at all.

I have read some guides here about setting up the port forwards for PS3.

Either I screwed up somewhere there in my router, or my router doesn't understand my port forwarding information, i can't still play online games at all. Oh, I check that out of date www.portforward.com. The info is ther but mostly out of date.

So it seems to me that my last option is plaing PS3 in DMZ.

Sadly, I can't play PS3 in DMZ either. I think it is probably that the guide didn't explain too clearly about setting up DMZ.

I would be much grateful if anyone could help and guide me.

Otherwise, I might be as well as return this PS3 back to the shop and get my £450 quids back so I can go on another holiday soon since it is clearly better spent than PS3 without networking facilities.

For your info, My evil router is Netgear DG834.

And I connect it to PS3 by wired connection.

Please anyone help/advise me.

Many thanks!

Re: Playstation 3 OnlinePorts and Error Codes

Well basicallu get onto your router homepage like for portforwarding, then look for DMZ, just enter your PS3's IP, NOT THE ROUTERS IP!

Thanks for advice. Does it mean I need to delete all services/firewall rules? And do I need to delete all ports I set up for portforwarding??

And one last thing - confirm that i need to uncheck that "default" DMZ server?

Many thanks!

Re: Playstation 3 OnlinePorts and Error Codes

Just get rid of the ports you added that didnt work.

Also, for DMZ there should be two boxes, one with a IP in already and another box where you have to enter an IP. Just make sure you enter the PS3's IP Address and save it.

Give me a screen shot if your unsure. :smileywink:
