GT5 PROLOGUE online ?

Nephew has GT5, i've had prologue for a a few years but never used, tried to play online, to get some practice in but keep getting the message " can't connect to the server" has the server for the prologue been dropped? daughter can play online on fifa so not sure where i'm going wrong, plans to buy gt5 to give the nephew a race or have him woop my Ar$e...

the servers were dropped i'm afraid, they were shut down in september last year.
