Re: Gamesharing is illegal, right?

also, surely you want the people making your games ect to do well, and continue to do well, dont you?

remember what happened with continuous play? people abused it, so  it got taken away .

you never know, sony may take away the ability to re download, so if your ps3 breaks, you will have to buy it again :/

kitty got wet, but the pictures are indecent.

sorry :smileywink:

I think everyone needs to accept the rules and drop it, this seems to becoming out of hand, rules are there for a reason!

[ Edited ]

Just to refresh the issue.....

I have a question.

I live in a house with 5 friends. I'm registered on my 2 ps3's but I work away quite a lot.

If My friend paid for half of my PS3 and later we both again paid half for another console (we own both consoles), and then put content onto them using our own accounts, who is illegally game sharing?

I download lots of content from the store onto both PS3's, on which my mates all have their own profiles.

If I'm playing wipeout HD on my PS3 upstairs (logged into my account) against a friend who's logged into his own account downstairs (but using the game I downloaded.), is he illegally game sharing?

While I'm away, are my friends illegally game sharing whilst playing my games on their own profiles?

confused? I know I am.

Re: Gamesharing is illegal, right?

I dont think its illegal because if it was why would you be able to have the same account on 5 different PS3's. Its not like Sony didnt mean to do that and PSN magicly created gamesharing overnight (Servers are going crazy, minds of their own), ofcorse Sony added that feature, and if it is illegal its not us breaking the law its Sony for creating gamesharing.

This type of gamesharing is not to be confused with the Game Sharing Mode on various PSP games, which allows two PSP owners to play a game together if only one of them has the disc.

Some games available from the PlayStation Store allow you to download the game to more than one console. This feature primarily exists for your own personal use, in case for any reason you need to re-download a game that you've previously bought from the Store. Please also note that not all games can be downloaded more than once - this information is confirmed in the Ts&Cs for each game in the Store.

We would strongly recommend that you do not use this feature to download games to someone else's console, as you would need to also share your PSN Sign In details (your Sign In email address and password) with the other console owner. To protect your personal information, PSN account and the funds in your Store wallet, it is very important that you keep your PSN Sign In information private and secure
