I pmed a Mod back some time

And he said the following 

"a) been a member on the forums for at least 2 weeks and b) have had at least 500 page views.  I think there might be another bit of criteria but those are the main ones."

It look's like I'm not the only person that's puzzled by the whole kudos thing.

I may obtain it one day but I'm not too bothered about it now, I think it's better to just say thanks or good post.

Kudos looks to me like stroking someones ego too much.

It's quite simple, if you read a post that you find worthy of praise then give them kudos - that's about it really!
