It has considerably slowed down my store browsing experience and like most 'recommendations', it's not recommended me anything I'd ever be slightly interested in, or anything I was not already aware of..
I've looked around all the settings relating to the store and couldn't find anything, fingers crossed there is an option to turn it off!
Cheers, Joe

I don't believe this can be turned off - it's controlled by the store itself so it'd need to be removed by Sony.

I agree. Though I don't mind the recommendations, as long as they don't interefere with my regular store browsing. I don't know if it's the recommendations, or if they did something else at the same time, but since they implemented that feature, the store sometimes doesn't react when I push buttons just after I just switched to a new section. I have to wait a second or two, and then try again. It's extremely annoying when I want to do "batch-operations", like when I tried to download all the Gamescom trailers. Wow, was that an annoying experience.
Please fix, or allow us to disable the feature.

I agree, it seems to have slowed the store down, there's a definite lag now in places where there wasn't any before. Pretty annoying.
The service is still new though, so I'm currently ignoring the fact that most of the "You May Like" stuff is often nothing to do with the product you just bought, like buying a fighting game and it telling you that you may like the trailer of some racing game (that's just a vague example).

I haven't noticed any lag, but recommending things that I've already bought is a bit silly ![]()

This has been happening to us for awhile, even before they added this useless feature. They should give you an option to get rid of it (which they wont obvioulsy) or *****ing sort it out. I know full well its not my connection as i've tried it with both my WiFi and Cable which gives me 5.8mb D/L and 346kb U/L.

I had noticed a slight lag in how responsive the store is for awhile now, even before they added the recommendations. Most noticeably when you would view a item and then back out it the store would basically freeze for a few seconds and not respond to any button presses. It didn't use to do that, I used to be able to hit the back button a few times and jump straight to the frontpage, or exit the store, but now it seems to have a delay to load content.
As for the recommendations? They have just made the experience of the browsing the store worse.
They take up quite a bit of room, and really they are just throwing anything at you at the minute, but that's not to bad. The big problem it how long it takes information about a item to load now because it's has to load the recommendations first. Used to be able to click on an item I knew I wanted to download or , and then instantly hit the buy/download button and it would go straight to my basket, but now I have to wait maybe 10-20 seconds for everything to load before it will let me press buy/download.
