Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

Hello,

I am facing this problem with Call of Duty Black Ops Online. I did all what you wrote about changing NAT Type 3 and the DMZ thing (on my Dlink router), yet I'm still having the NAT Type 3. I also did the assignment of the public IP address on my ADSL modem.

What shall I do more?

Thanks

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

I keep getting the 8002AD23 error and I get disconnected from PSN after 1min or so. I´m currently living in a dorm, multiple PC´s connected to the same router to which I don´t have the password.I can however log on to the router as an user,so I cannot change any setting. I noticed DMZ was on for a certain IP, so I just changed my ps3´s IP to that one.The problem is, that IP is assigned to another pc as well, so I keep getting kicked off PSN for that reason, I assume.

Any fixes to this?

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

@ Diddymow its a straight forward guide i agree i think a lot people get hung up with the static IP address part.

I used to port forward till i printed out the ports i had opened on two A4 sheets of printer paper (mainly EA server ports) since i DMZ'ed i dont have to check game manuals/Google for game ports to open.

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

Well it has changed my NAT type to Open, that can only be a good thing.

@ The-Sea-Trout I think the BT HUB is mentioned in this thread somewhere that and the O2 box 2 seem to be the most problematic to set-up.
