Re: Keep getting signed out - Error code 8002A548

Still getting signed out after a few minutes. Everything else on the network at home doesnt so much as twitch when online, where my PS3 has a complete fit!

Tried restarting the router and I ahve almost worn out the Internet Status Test function.

Come to think of it, it wasn't this bad before the latest firmware...

I would look at your connection set-up you might require opening ports or setting up a DMZ. Never any problems unless maintenance is occurring wired connection and placed in the routers DMZ.

Thanks Mont348.

Still don't see why I have to jump through hoops on my PS3 when EVERYTHING else on our home wireless network can stay on without issue.

I'll give it a try before getting the sledgehammer out

Re: Keep getting signed out - Error code 8002A548

[ Edited ]

I'm getting the same problems. I try to sign in, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I get error codes when i try to sign in, and get kicked out when i am signed in. Ive had 8002A548 error code, the 80028ED5 error code, loads of other ones i cant even remember, and even 'the connection with Sony Entertainment Network has timed out".

This started about 3 weeks ago, all of a sudden I couldn't sign in. 2 weeks ago it had me download and install a firmware update, which downloaded fine, then  told me it couldn't sign in. Last week, I was able to sign in and was so happy, i went and downloaded the insurrection pack for ME3 and tried to download the Extended Cut. The Insurrection pack came down and installed fine, but the Extended Cut conked out halfway through. I tried to download it again, same deal. I found that I could sign in and play the ME3 multiplayer, but after a while it would (and still does) kick me out with any of a number of error codes.

And now I get errors all over the place, when i sign in, when i start a game after signing in, and never the same one twice. I know its not on my end, everything else works fine, even firmware updates apparently. If there is something wrong with the PSN, please tell me.

Re: Keep getting signed out - Error code 8002A548

This is just getting ridiculous, this has been happening to me since February AT LEAST once a week. My PS3 is in the DMZ, this cleared up my problem of not being able to join parties on MW3...but I still keep getting kicked off PSN.

Does anyone know what Ports I have to forward for PSN? Not that it seems to help :\

What's your current set-up wireless or wired? I used to frequently get this error on wireless not anymore now that i connect via ethernet cable.

If you are connecting via Wifi try changing your routers output channel to try to improve signal and quality. If you can i strongly recommend a wired connection or invest in a pair of homeplugs.

Re: Keep getting signed out - Error code 8002A548

Seems to be a very common annoyance. This has started happening to me right now. Playing a game for 10 minutes... signed out. Tried signing in... failed. About 10 minutes of trying, I'm finally back in. But.. 2 minutes later... I'm signed back out. Begin the never ending loop of taking 10 minutes to sign in, 2 minutes before I'm signed out.

I keep getting either a "The coonection with Sony Entertainment Network has timed out" or "An error has ocurred. You have been signed out of PSN" which is stange, because I wasn't even signed into start with. Makes for a very annoying experience, expecially since I'm recording this for YouTube.

You get what you pay for... PSN is free, Xbox Live isn't, and I've NEVER had this sort of problem with Live before.
