Lost my PSN ID?

Hi. Basically I'm a bit stumped with my login details. Firstly, I have repurchased a PS3 recently, during the PSN outage and so was waiting for it to return so I could connect to my account.

My original online ID is skippi90 and has been for years. I built up a fairly large number of trophies on my ID and had several PS Store purchases.

Yesterday, when Playstation Network was restored, I tried to sign-in. I was left confused when the system then told me that the sign-in details were incorrect. Seemingly, it was not recognising my email address which I am certain was correct for the account and have emails from Playstation to this address relating to my account. To make sure that it was the email address that was the issue, I tried making a new account, as well as to be able to play online yesterday. I created the online ID SkipHop90 with the same email address (the account I'm using to post from now) which proves that the email address for some reason was not recognised as being used already for PSN.

I have tried every email address I have ever used to try to login to my account but with no success.

Anyone able to help? Tried calling customer support and I just get an alternating tone, followed by a constant, then nothing when I get through the options.

Please use plain text.

Re: Lost my PSN ID?

I should add, this isn't a password reset problem. I never even got as far as it telling me my password was invalid as it wasn't recognising my email sign in.

Change password via PS3:

You can only change your password via the PS3, if that PS3 had been authorised on your profile previously ( i.e You purchased something from the Store using that specific PS3).

You hadn't used that console on your account before, so you can't use it to change your password. And the reason it said your email was wrong is probably because that console is tied to another user name at the moment.

I'd contact customer services and explian that you haven't used that PS3 with your account before.
