From the look of things there's a problem at O2's end and it here's been no info on a fix or if they're aware. Rabid has raised the issue though, so even if they're not aware they soon will be

it has nothing to do with the mw3 update its just pure coinsidence that you downloaded that update on the day you began having problems.

And it is another coinsidence that O2 is having problems. My ISP has no problems, as I am able to do whatever I want on internet, even with PS3 browser. yet PSN gives me trouble.

If ISP(O2/BE) is having problems, you wouldn't have any service at all, not just PSN

it stated on 02 site they were having problems with gaming services but ive now been signed for 20 mins

They state that because o2 and Be customer service is one of the better ones and they do listen to us, thus if several of us, o2/Be customers, complained about having problems with PSn, they(o2/Be) will take it seriously and investigate even though it might not be their problem. I am sure that virgin media or other broadband provider customers have complained as well, but knowing other ISP customer service, you wouldn't expect investigation from them.

On the other hand there is a possibility of o2/Be messing up some gaming port forwarding, but these problems are easy to rectify and ouldn't need an announcement from ISP.

Either way, Sony needs to sort it out themselves, as their network is the one which is being affected, while everything else is doing fine.
