Ok well I have signed in with my main account and reset my password on my ps3 on that account. But when I try to sign in with my second account it tells me I have to accept on follow the instructions on the email it sent me.
But when I log in to the email I used to make this account there is no new email from sony and I have done the I forgot my password and it still doesn't send me an email. Now the most recent attempt I have done it gave me an error. Is there any reason for this?
If I didn't make sense I could try to explain to the best of my abilities.

I found the same thing. I expect many others have too, and that it is related to the volume of mails Sony are having to send out.
But why the hell would the procedure be different for other accounts on the same PS3? That makes no sense.
Anyway, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to explain that this is a free service so we can't really complain.

PSN Support, please look into this - I know there's a large volume of emails etc but I believe those who haven't had the emails will not receive them until you send it again, and here's why:
When the network came on yesterday I updated my password through the PS3.
My children also have a PS3, which the three of them share and have their own accounts. I tried to update the account used the most but got the "an email has been sent" message - we're still waiting for that email.
Since then, I have (this morning) performed the same task on the other two accounts and the emails arrived instantly.
So, I have to conclude that the emails 'sent' yesterday that have still not arrive - never will.
Please PSN Support, look into this.

I'm having exactly the same problem.. I should probably have read this thread before creating my own detailing the exact same problem, heh >_>
I imagine that millions of people are trying to access the service at the same time so e-mail will be clogging up.. Hope it comes through soon :]

420 - PLEASE NOTE:
The emails I received to enable the password reset contained a link that is valid for THREE HOURS ONLY.
To reset your PlayStation(R)Network password, please click on the link below. This link will expire in 3 hours from the time that it was sent. The link will direct you to a PlayStation(R)Network web page and allow you to enter and confirm your new password.
...so, even if you do receive the email it won't be of any use to you whatsoever. The emails need to be resent (or the account reset so the process can start again).

REALLY GETTING STRESSED with this now, trying to get my email sorted is a joke you ask questions but sony never bother answering,
I understand that there is a lot of people wanting to get back on line but you (sony) have forced everyone to change thier passwords so you should of been prepared for the amount of requests you were going to get, it's getting beond the joke now.
people are telling me that the email link is only valid for three hours, so how do i get another email sent cos when i try to sign in now all i get is the server error message.
SO COME ON SONY HOW ABOUT SOME ANSWERS !!!!!!!!!

Well, I just tried calling the Sony help line and this is what happens:
1. Please press "1" for help resetting your password
2. (After a lengthy monologue on what's happenning) Please press "1", then "2" from the following menu:
3. [after pressing 2] - dead tone!
Brilliant! I tried it 4 times, same thing.
420 - I'm getting more surprised everyday at how many EFC supporters I meet online. I was the only one when at school, granted, that WAS 20 years ago!
