  Likewise.

At first I thought PSN+ was lacking a little on features.  Where's Cloud Storage and the Extended Warranty? (I know they were only rumours, but still)

However, on my second look £40 per year isn't that bad considering you get 1 x PSN game per month, 1 x PS1 Classic per month and 2 x minis per month.  That's approx £7.99 + £5.99 + 2 x £3.50 = £20.98 ish per month for around £3.33 outlay on the PSN+ sub.  Not too shabby.

Not worried about the beta access obviously and I'm a little pi$$ed that X-Game chat can only be initiated and continued by a subbed PSN+ member but the Premium Avatars, Auto patching and premium themes make up for that.

Probably won't sub straight away as I don't want/need the LBP digital copy but I will sub this year.

I wonder if they will add to the PSN+ services over the 12 months.

Re: PSN + Explained

^^^Of course its not, some around these parts have been telling us for years that £39.99 is fantastic for online play and X-Chat alone, never mind all the extra your getting with the PS3 version..:smileywink:

Re: PSN + Explained

Sounds good, thanks for the post.

I take it you will purchase it with funds from your Store wallet?

If thats the case, I guess its time to keep your eyes open for those cheap deals on PSN cards from Zavvi, they will make it even better value.

Re: PSN + Explained

It's not for me since they pre-select the games and I'm not fussed about manually downloading patches.

I can see the attraction for others, to a point.

Re: PSN + Explained

Hang on though....

You get to try games for an hour??? How does that work then with trophies???? Let us say a trophy hoarder has PSN+ and tries a game for an hour to see if they are easy trophies and then decided against buying the game...is he then stuck with the game in his trophy list???

Probably the same as with demo's, you don't get trophies :smileywink:

I was sceptical about the service and pricing but the way it is explained here makes it very tempting.

Re: PSN + Explained

Hmm... will this download of Little Big Planet be like other downloads, where you have that 5 download limit, because if it is, i shall trade in my old copy of the game :smileyvery-happy:

Re: PSN + Explained

I assume the pre-selected monthly games as part of the PSN + service are from (so far) unreleased listings? Otherwise what about the ones that already own the PSN/PS1 or Mini being offered?

Some of those unreleased games will be around te £12 mark on release, if they were to be included then I'd bite. I can't see it being the case, at the risk of being a cynic it's more likely they will be older games, perhaps those that end up in the 'Special Offers' category.

I'm just speculating of course.
