How do I find that out?

I know I bought a year subscription and got Quest for Booty as my freebie, then I added a 90 day code which Sony provided me because I'm a Gamestation Store Manager.

go to your Account Management segment on your PS3, and find the subscriptions part - when you find the PS+ sub listing in that, it'll tell you when it starts and ends

Re: PS+ Games expired even though renewed within subscription extension period

Starts 11/09/2010 and Expires 18/02/2012 - In the Remaining field it just has a dash.

That should mean none of my content should have expired.......

looks like same thing might happened to you as it did with us lot then

but you say you subbed on 11th Sep 2010, which means it was set to expire 11th Sep 2011, but you say you added a 90-day code? which means the sub should have expired 10th December 2011... (unless you've added more sub time during this period?)

but, when did you add the 90 day subscription code? was it AFTER the 11th Sep 2011 or BEFORE?

if before, then the entire subscription would have expired 10th December....as you renewed during your current subscription...

if it was AFTER 11th September 2011, then your PS+ subscription would have already expired (thus your first year sub games will have expired)

the date you refer to of 18th February 2012 is 90 days after Monday 21st November 2011 - so if you renewed on 21st November, then yes, your old games WILL have expired because you renewed OUTSIDE of your subscription period, not within the subscription period like myself and others have here in this thread...

as with the terms and conditions, if you want your games to continue and not expire, you have to renew within subscription period manually, or have it set to automatically renew thus continuing the subscription - if you let it expire, then your games expire, and you wont get them back if you renew at a later date.

the issue we've had in this thread is that we've all re-subscribed to PS+ DURING our existing subscription period, yet the old games still expired past the original resubscription date...

Re: PS+ Games expired even though renewed within subscription extension period

Your maths is clearly better than mine!!

Doesn't explain about Hydophobia though, which expired less than a month after downloading it.

Plus how many days did Sony add onto peoples subscriptions for free as a result of the outage earlier this year? Does that equal the difference between 11th Sept and 21st November? If so my subscription has been continuous and nothing should have expired...

Very confusing :smileysad:

Re: PS+ Games expired even though renewed within subscription extension period

All my November content has expired. All the Crash Games and Hydrophobia. Downloaded on 6th and expired on the 20th. Every month since I was a member I have downloaded the freebies so I know my subscription has been continuous.....

Don't think I'll be renewing again in February is this is going to happen....

Re: PS+ Games expired even though renewed within subscription extension period

Have you contacted Sony about it? ~They need to add you onto the list of people with screwed PS+.

I sent them a letter, but they can't accept it because it doesn't prove who I am. So I have to call support to get them to prove it was me who sent it. So frustrating, it means I have to call them again and talk to the same people and the thing goes through exactly the some process as before - with frontline support perfectly capable and pleasant, understanding too, but with no way of actually getting anything accomplished. It gets sent "upwards" who then reject and we're left with a broken contract and no way of getting any recompense.

I also think that every post on the blog should be pointed here with a note asking Sony to sort it out. I've already cost them one renewal by doing that, if we all did it on every blog post, then it would really start to cost them. Once people stop renewing and it's costing them, they'll soon  take note and start to offer something to us (something that they owe us, this isn't a mild change or a minor niggle, it's an absolutely honest to goodness break of the subscription service and it['s appalling that we're being ignored).

Imagine if BT, Virgin or Sky cut off your services for four or five months with "we're sorry, but it's complicated"? There'd be no way any company who wanted service again would ever stand by and allow such a thing. It's absolutely, 100% the worst service and response I've seen from a  company (and I was an early NTL adopter :smileywink: ).

ah yes, forgot about that - they added 70 extra days free onto the end of people's subscriptions - therefore

So then...

start date: 11th September 2010 - original end date 11th September 2011 (you might find some games expired on this date)

extension period of 70 days brings your subscription up to Sunday 20th November 2011 to expire, therefore you will find that the games you'd downloaded during the 70 day period will have expired (along with the others) on this date

add 90 days extra subscription on top of this brings you to your current expire date of 18th February 2012

so yes, you ARE in the same boat as us - you renewed your subscription within the subscription extension period (not before the original end date of subscription) and this has messed things up for you whereby the system has expired all the games up until the end of the extension but not for the games you will have downloaded past that period - therefore for example, your december games wont expire if you renew you subscription before the 18th February 2011 - in fact, if you check the start and end dates of these games, you will notice that there's a start date but NO expirary date.... probably says "No Time Limit"

it definitely seems that the issue is with Sony's subscription software/firmware for PSN with regards to the extension period they gave everyone for free - this has messed everything up effectively...

those people who renewed their subscriptions automatically or manually for the end of their original subscription date will NOT be affected - those who renewed past their original subscription date - yet WITHIN the EXTENSION PERIOD - WILL have been affected....

again, everyone who reads this, if you renenewed in the extension period, you may find your games expire...

I also have the same problem like you have Cousteau2009.

All of my first year content has been expired, even though I continued subscription.

My first 12-moths subscription end day was 9.2.2011. I Ordered it 09/02/2010.

I renewed subscription 30.7.2011 when the previous order was still valid.

I ordered this new one-year subscription when Sega Rally offer was available.

All of my first year subscription games gives following message (minis, PS one and psn games): "This content has expired and is no longer available." Games shows that the expiration date is 09/02/2011, which was my first year subscription end date.

The console is connected to the playstation network and does not get the new expiry date when i try to launch games. Expiration date remains 9.2.2011.

I tried to download the games again from playstation store, but the games are not listed in download list.

In store the games that have been expired have just the blue shopping bag image on them.

So if I would like my expired games to work, I had to buy them again.

I hope that Sony would repair the problem quickly. I'm paying for the service and then I would expect a speedy explanation why the service is not working as it should.

Oops..in previous message there was few date wrong.

UPDATE:

I got a reply from Sony.

They explained that they are aware that I have lost some content as part of my subscription and Sony support teams have been investigating the cause of this issue for some time now however its very complex and therefore further investigation is still needed.

They have no estimated time when this problem will be fixed.

They offered a refund of the current paid of subscription back to my wallet.
This would end the current subscription. Therefore i would lose my rights to current and old content and they are unable to confirm if any of the content linked to the old subscription including missing content would become available again if I decided to purchase another subscription in the future.

If I don't want a refund then I will need to wait until Sony support teams conclude their investigations and release a fix for the issue.

I refused to take the refund because I want that service will be fixed and I get refund for that time when service have been broken. I have sent this demand to Sony but I have not got response from them yet.

Re: PS+ Games expired even though renewed within subscription extension period

Thanks for working that out for me :smileyhappy:

Next question is how is the 70 day period calculated?

Everything I've read points to only 60 days being offered....

Now where's the phone number/email address to get this logged with Sony?

Same update i had from sony. Doesn't sound good does it?

I wonder if we will get the games back now that Sony are asking people to except this refund deal ( Into their PSN )? The refund is not cash being given back but PSN money only. :xEvil:
