PS3 wont accept WEP key

hey, ive searched other posts, but cant find the exact same problem.

Basically, my ps3 has decided to disconect itself from the internet, and now says the WEP key i enter is wrong. However ive got 2 otthe computers, both connected to the intenet with the same WEP key, so i know its right.

anyone got any ideas on what the problem is/how to fix it?

Re: PS3 wont accept WEP key

You should probably post your router make and model, and obviously double check your wep key i see you made a few typing errors in your post so it is possible you did this with your wep key,you can change the wep key on your router ,search the forums m8

Re: PS3 wont accept WEP key

I have the same problem , i use a BT home Hub and i have no problems with my pc on the net when i do the internet test on the PS3 it confirms i have a connection but cannot access the PS Network or the update site. I get various messages the main three being - check ur network settings , wrong WEP key and the same error code as most of the other poster's with the same problem.

Is the main prob the BT Home Hub ?

Why dosnt there appear to be any proper solution comming from Sony ?

Re: PS3 wont accept WEP key

WEP is unsecure, outdated and more to the point just crap. WPA or WPA2 is what you want, if your router doesn't support them, then it's time to get a new router.
