Is anyone else getting a DNS error while trying to sign in?

i can still sign in and play gta iv online, but i still dont know if i can play killzone, the servers for them are down, i dont get it this is weird

some people can play some games some people cant

some people sign in others cant

its odd how this is affecting people you wouldnt think everybody would be able to sign in or not? its confusing people

hey man it's something to do with your ip address and not obtaining the dns servers ip address

it most likely would occur when using a dynamic ip address,

go to start run cmd

type in ipconfig /all

copy down

ip address

default gateway

dns servers

subnet mask

turn on ps3 go to settings network settings forgotten what it is but its what u go onto when u first set p your network you know the one which chooses what network to go onto etc

choose custom

and manually input ip address and all the stuff i said earlier

you may need your WEp or WPA key i dont know.

after all this is done you should have a static ip address to your ps3, if your computer is set to automatically obtain an ip address it is a dynamic ip address this will stop anyip conflicts in your router between your pc and ps3.
