Wasn't their fault? They had a bad security system, off course it was their fault.

Exactly. They don't owe anyone anything, They were attacked and are trying to better protect themselves for the future. How that means they owe us compensation I'll never know.

No use to me if i'm honest.

Not interested in it at all - Mainly because of all the DRM involved.I would never continue to subscribe so i'd lose all the stuff.

Sooner just buy a game off the store and keep it - Without paying a subscription fee.

Still,i suppose i could skank all the free themes thats on ps+.

Anyway,it aint gonna happen - This is sony.

If it was bad security, don't you think it would of been hacked sooner? Not the 4 years it's taken..

Any online site could be hacked. All it takes is one person who knows what they are doing.

I imagine this has already been said in this thread (apparantly it is rather long so I don't know), but even though a better security system might have prevented it, it's not their fault. If someone breaks into your house and steals all of your possessions, is it your fault for not hiring security guards?

The ones breaking into it are always the ones to be blame.

That's so weird I just thought of that exact analogy word for word about 5 minutes ago I just decided not to post it :smileyvery-happy: Wish I did now :smileytongue:

If you have an alarm on your house - And you dont set it and then get broken into. Many insurance companies refuse to pay out.

But i agree - The ones who made this rogue CFW are the guilty party.

Without knowing for certain what happened and why (and we probably never will), we can't say anything about their security. Anything you've read on the web is nothing more than speculation by people who know nothing about the details.

That said, whether their security was good or bad doesn't really matter. Any network accessible to the public can be hacked, whether it's PSN, Live, banks or military.

As for compensation - those that have subscriptions to various things, yes, they should perhaps get something. As for the rest, which includes me, they don't owe us a thing. In my personal opinion, there's something wrong with anyone who feels they are owed compensation because they can't make use of something which was given free of charge anyway.
