For those who don't have see this yet. Anyway its funny how SONY says the same thing all the time

"We will continue to provide updates as we have them." So SONY its working all the time and the funny is that we don't have yet a Major Announcement when the PSN will return.

Personally, I'd rather wait until it was ready, than for them to commit to a date and then have to turn it back on purely becuase that date had come around.

Generally speaking, you can have speed, or you can have accuracy.

The two don't often go hand in hand.

This is why so many people get irate when a game releases on a set date, and then a few days later releases a patch for bits that couldn't be included in time for the code to be pressed onto disc.

Given the focus on security right now, turning PSN back on, without everything possible being ready would be tantamount to corporate suicide.

Doing that takes time, and providing estimates for how long it will take is more of an art than a science.

Re: PSN Outage [UPDATE - Sunday 1st May 2011]

I bet Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden are the masterminds behind all of this.  They will use the money stolen from playstation network users to fund terrorist efforts.  They must have made some mistakes which the government picked up on after the Playstation network went down which lead to his capture.  All these events have to be related somehow lol

Yes mate, of course you did...

Why do people believe a word this tool comes out with?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Sony delayed PSN just a couple more days due to the problems with SOE out of both caution (whether they have good reason or not) and out of consistency with customers to show they're taking any breach VERY seriously? To the best of my knowledge, the servers for both are nothing to do with one another, but it wouldn't shock me to see Sony roll out one completely remade and restructured security system.

Re: PSN Outage [UPDATE - Sunday 1st May 2011]

And also the SOE servers going offline were part of the initial Attack that they noticed, it wasn't a new attack and the same applies as what has already been said.

here read it here,
http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2011/05/03/soe-confirms-more-accounts-information-cc-numbers-stolen/
also make sure you read the part where they update the news feed with info that it was confirmed that no credit card details were taken from SOE

This time there is not Official Major Announcement about " The PSN is back " but... I heard from many people that in Japan the PSN its Online!

Maybe its True! Of course the best we can do its to wait...I am sure that Probably tomorrow SONY will Announced us The return of PSN! Thumbs up!

You know it would have been so much easier for you just to search Google for 'Playstation Japan' then click on the translate link. Listening to unfounded speculation & rumour isnt going to make you feel better or bring it back any quicker. If Sony dont release the information, chances are that its a lot of rubbish
