What's more likely to come first? 350 pages or PSN back up?

Re: PSN Outage [UPDATE - Sunday 1st May 2011]

US legislature demands answers from Sony over PSN hack

The US Congress, the United States' legislature for the federal government, has issued a letter to Sony requesting answers for a number of unanswered questions concerning last week's "outside intrusion" of the PlayStation Network.

In the message, sent directly to PlayStation global boss Kaz Hirai, Congress' Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade enquires when the hack occurred, if Sony knew who was responsible for the attack and when the company notified the relevant legal authorities.

The two-page letter (left) is signed by Mary Bono Mack, Republican of California, who requests a reply by May 6 (Friday). Replies are requested for 13 questions, which include 'Have you identified the individual(s) responsible for the breach?' and 'What steps have you taken or do you plan to take to mitigate this breach?'.

The letter follows news that the servers of Sony Online Entertainment have also been attacked, potentially revealing the personal details of a further 24.6 million MMO user accounts to an unauthorised third party.

Sony admitted last week that details of 77 million PlayStation Network subscribers had been accessed by a hacker - details which may have included credit card numbers.
