PSN very confused

After logging onto PSN I get this message.

Previous eu.playstation.com accounts are no longer valid, and you will need to login below using a PlayStation Network ID. Once you have signed in, you can transfer your old account information and setup your own eu.playstation.com profile.

Can anyone tell me what this means. I can log into here ,but not onto PSN on PC or PS3.

Please use plain text.

[ Edited ]

I've been getting this on and off for a week or two now.

Sometimes I get that message. Other times I can sign in, but am told that I haven't completed the account set-up on my PS3. Other times my Portable ID has no trophies, the avatar reverts to the plain silver smiley face, or reverts to the small version without trophies.

Right now, I'm getting this:

I just tried signing in to PSN and it said it was undergoing maintenance. Perhaps they're looking into it?

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
if it was work being done it was very quick work as PSN is back to GREEN not Yellow light. The problems specific to some accounts added in complexity by new browsers making things worse to fault find. that's why most users are not effected.

Well, I'm using the same browser I've always used and which has always worked perfectly, so I've no idea why I would suddenly be affected.

I just had the same message again trying to look at my trophies. Then I clicked on the Portable ID tab, changed nothing, clicked back on the My Trophies tab, and theyve re-appeared.

It's been intermittent like that for a couple of weeks now.

The bizarre thing is that since they upgraded the site, PS3Trophies.com has had no problem displaying my trophies, even when the official site has.

What it means is the username and password you originally used to sign up to the PlayStation website will no longer work. (Everyone got this message). Instead of using those log in details you now use the log in details you use to log into PSN on the PS3. Then just transfer all the account info when it asks you and it'll all be fine.
