When I recieve an email from someone on my PSN list that I consider to be SPAM or CHAIN mail, I reply to them telling never to send me another.  If they do, I delete, block and report them.  Its harsh, but better than having to read their BS

i just got a chain mail message from some guy stating sony has officially announced charges for psn from 1.12.10... this guy is not on my friends list and i don't recognise his i.d. why do these idiots send these messages? how did he get my i.d?

I had one from an alledged person from infinity ward... I sent them a reply that I would get verification that they were from infinity ward... and I got a reply from them that there sorry their over excited son sent it... (yeah right that old chestnut)... lucky for them I didnt report them, but with a bit of luck they pooped themselves...

I report people that go under the maps (on my side or not), because if they cheat in one game they'll cheat in more... abusive messages of any sort are also reported too...

yep, there sure is alot of spam being chucked about PSN...

I got a message the other day saying the same, but if you forward the message on to 500,000 people sony will reconsider,  come on why do people believe this crap

Fake! If Sony make the PSN Pay-4-Play he will lose millions and millions from the PSN Users and the PS3. i was thinking about buying a x-sh*t box but when i've heard the Pay-4-Play i said "I'll never buy it". that's what people does and do... Think about it and you'll get it! Anyway. 1st spam msg = Warning, 2nd spam msg= Report aaaaaand 3rd spam msg Block . If he's/she's a stranger Block + Report from the First msg.

Lots of it, heck today I even received one I could not read properly due to being in another language though I recognised "PSN" and a few other things that made me deem it spam.

Although at the moment my spam is on a low thankfully.

ITS 100% LIE, the rumours where started buy xbox fanboys to put ppl of buying ps3 but infact if ps3 ever charge for psn they will 1 lose out in sells

2 they will have to retract all there adverts which cost millions 

3 at the end of it if ps3 do charge 4 psn they would make more loses than profit so if you get any chain mail you should block the person who sends it to you or give them a verbal warning

Technically we are but you have to pay for games and DLC on Xbox Live aswell on top as a monthly charge. The message the OP got was talking about implementing a monthly charge to PSN
