To all you ignorant people who don't support, take a look at the facts.
1) Japan is able to do it, so why not everyone else.
2) You wouldn't forget who your friends are because SONY would obviously add a "last known as" to help.
3) People who have had PS3 since the launch of the system don't deserve to stick with the name they made because they were younger, maybe kids and picked dumb idiotic names.
4) If you say make a new account, just proves how blind and retarded you are, considering there would be a loss of all achievements.

I definitely think we should be about to do this. I really don't like the idea that the Japanese can do this and we can. That just seems wrong.

I would like to see this simply because Japan has it, and XBOX has it. but only if it was VERY strictly moderated. Though I don't think I would bother changing mine anyway tbh.
Or some kind of nickname that only people on your friends list see you as while in the games (mods and other users see your original name, and your name on the friends list would still show the original name).
Or the ability to assign a nickname to people on my friends list, just for my own use, for people on my friends list. A name that only I will see the user as, so I can see actual names on their profiles rather than their PSN names.
Just something to make it feel more like I am playing actual people online, rather than playing online IDs.
