OK EVERYONE LISTEN. The maintenance will be 8am-9pm. AND? 

If you want a proper maintenance done properly and well, you have to put up with this occasionally from time to time. And a bank holiday Monday (OK maybe not the best day in the world possibly). YOU NEED TO DO OTHER THINGS, GO OUTSIDE, get a life. Do something else. There is life outside the gaming world! 

IT'S ONE DAY! Stop being so overdramatic about it. If you can't access online games (I know you can't access Playstation Store, Account management etc.), oh well. You can all do without it for one day, and if you still have to go on your Playstation on that day, there is a thing called SINGLE PLAYER which developers spend so much time and effort to do. 

I am a big Playstation fan who does go on my PS3 regularly, but not over-obsessively as I have a life and a lot of work to do!

Its our national broadcasters catch up service, similar to your BBC iplayer. It was anounced on gamescom to be available on september.

Do maintenances actually give a noticeable effect, i.e. like updates do when you get something new, or do maintenances just check on the PSN?

some times it could be hard to sign into psn but keep on trying to sign in and you'll get in eventually.
and you cant access the ps store and account management.

ooooohhhhhh maybe new firmware is getting released or tested better browser and ps2 compatibility here i come (hopefully) and an msn app would be nice OR EVEN BETTER OTHEROS! 8} i hope
