I had a chat conversation with one of my friends earlier, he was'nt even registered as online.. i  have also spent the night watching 4/5 of my friends logging in/logging out/logging in/logging out.. how on earth have sony managed to ruin some peoples 1st day (and possibly more until they fix it) play of the biggest game of the year..?? oh yeah i know. by doing network maintenence.. tools

There was NO maintenance at all. The "PSN Network under maintenance" announcement was a method of saying "we know PSN cant cope, so we're going to sit back and monitor network acitivity and THEN upgrade accordingly".

 

My opinion is reinforced by the fact they schedule maintenance on the very day the most anticipated game of the year is released.

 

If none of the above is true, then they are indeed "tools".

Right now when I try to play online it is stuckin the menu that loads the ranks and stuff... what is going on?

Wonder how long it will be until you dont have to wait a week for scroungy servers to be upped for a game.

 

Literally they can predict the numbers at least to the point where 99% of ppl can play a new game online.

 

Instead of the current 1%.. Faff about with servers for a week... Then everyone can play online.

 

Tho to be fair - I was playin MW2 online no probs 3 days after release.
