Umm.. Well I'm from Estonia and I'm totally baffled by this. Estonia (as well as the other Baltic states for example - Latvia and Lithuania) is not available for selection when you are registering a PS Network account. I don't know about the other countries that have been mentioned in this topic (Greece, Saudi-Arabia etc) but Estonia is just not on this list from where you can select your country. What is the official response then? That we should register our accounts providing false information about our location? That we SHOULD register our accounts as we are living in UK, just so we could play games online? Because I've found that it's the only way that the PS Network is "available" in Estonia. I think there's actually a sentence in the agreement that is displayed during the registration process, that you should only enter accurate information??

Oh, and the price here in stores is about 690 euros, which is about the same as in some countries and more than in some. So I can't really understand - if it costs the same here than in other European countries, how come all the same features are not available?

Sorry my friend but you are totally wrong and rude for writing in capitals and talking nonsense.EU and middle east were the last of the terretories for the launch of ps3.Also middle east were one day earlier and launched the ps3 in 22 march officially by sony gulf.So before posting nonsense think and search if you dont know but on the other hand you can apply for a sony PR,

well i think obviously providing false information is a no no as its in the terms and condititions but as the country isnt on the list you really need to actually adress these faults with sceee and sony rather than here as im sure the moderators are gonna miss the post please make a new thread or send and email to a moderater to get the problem solved or possible the help thread as its specifically for problems with ps3 again i must stress that psn and store are FREE and not part of the initial selling price of the ps3 you pay for the hardware not the online services microsoft only provide a marketplace to people when they pay subscription so people complaining im sorry but i dont think the fact you bought a full price console at retail means you have any rights to the psn or store facilities ok? again if you arnt happy with this make sure sony and scee are aware so you can get it fixed or an answer at least also i believe when they sold the euro ps3 and we complained about the emulation hardware being removed sony stated that these problems go with the territory basically , and i think sony basically is saying that if you dont live in A japan B UK or very closely knit euro contires or C USA then they dont care caus i mean half u people are in such a small country and not enough demand caus you live in some crappy country with no broadband penetration or market or internet laws maening its just not worth it so sorry you feel cheated but if you dont live in the well industrialised main 3 continents why should they provide you with a service? you should move to a country more capable of the ps3s next gen demands or not play ps3 at all and btw i know its not fair and its not my fault or ideal but this is how i think that sony feels not my personal thoughts i hope noone is offended by my ranting as it is just a projected image of scee and sony marketing

Well that is an interesting point. Would this also mean that when I'm buying a PS3 game with full price, it's not meant that I can play it online like a person who buys the game in the UK? Online play is additional and not meant for everybody, eh? It's not part of the game?

well. actually I kind of live in one of the main 3 continents and umm.. well.. why is the system be available in the stores here and why does it state in the papers that came with the console that it in fact IS meant for sale in my home country? If they don't feel like providing a specific country with it's services, then why sell the goods here??

oh and by the way - the way it is working out right now, it looks like MS and Nintendo DO care!! That's the thing that's hurting the most because I've always supported Sony and the PS and I've really felt like I want the PS3 to be really fantastic and succeed in the world. Needless to say - with something that projects an attitude like "we don't really care about your country because we can't sell 100,000 units to country with 1.5million people".. and with people who actually support that like "yeah, these countries are backwards, they shouldn't get all the service we get in the UK or whatever" - where is the world going to???

true i made this point on an earlier thread myself that eventhough microsfot use a lot of marketing and its a bad thing it makes the consumers feel like microsoft care about if they get your money and at the moment i think all of us in the eu are feeling a kinda cold shoulder by sony btw i never said the console wasnt avaiable just some of the FREE services which it provides and as i have stated numerous time again this is not my way of thinking and i love playing with gamers all over the world and would love downloadable content to come to everyone im simply projecting a way of thinking that i feel sont and scee are using on the smaller eu countires right now its entirely open to discussion but please dont make this about me as im not the one holding the psn network infront of you laughing caus its just out of reach

please understand that is EXACTLY what i am saying as with the 360 xbox live subscription fee of £40 a year you cant play games online without it and yes with the 360 console you still pay full retail price regardless of wether you have a live account or not for xbox 360 titles therefore you are not paying for a multiplayer experiance when u buy a 360 game
you must pay a subscription fee aswell which obviously makes all your games if you want to play online cost more to play??
