I know this might come across as a strange question, but whats it for? I've logged in to it several times since I got my PS3 but all there seems to be is the option to change my clothes/avatar and walk around the apartment that I guess is my "Home". I did go to leave the door one time but after 10 mins of loading/downloading or what ever it was doing I decided that enough was enough and turned my PS3 off. If anyone would be able to explain what the PSN Home channel is for it would be much appreciated

Should help you out a bit.  I don't use it much myself but essentially its an interactive world where you can meet other PS3 users.

I think I will just leave it unused, after a quick read of the home forums I don't think its a feature that I would use much.... seems all to much habbo hotel to me.

Basic it a 3D world where you can meet other users of PSN to make friends and jump into games

Noone knows what its for, not even Sony. They created this "world" that they thought would be amazing where people could meet new people and play games. But its failed on all levels, with all you can really do is walk around, customize an avatar and play silly little games...

I guarentee that Sony will not be carrying on making Home by the end of 2010..As its not got the wide appeal Sony wanted and is only used regulary my a small minority of PSN users, and i seems like they are struggling to know how to go forward with it..

I disagree mate. Sony have aleady put it to good use by having people like redbull and EA use it to advertise their products (to which Sony probaby got a big wedge of money from) and there is a large part of the playstation community that use it. I have always thought it was a good idea and stick by it. it's obviously just not for everyone. p.s, some of the games are actually quite good. Ever heard of Xi.........?
