There's not been a FW update for ages and I'd like to suggest that an update to the browser is long overdue. For a start, it might just help us to view these forums properly, which is obviously the first place anyone using the browser is likely to go. Also, I've noticed in the last couple of days that Yahoo Mail doesn't seem to work properly anymore. I've always thought the browser is one of the best and most useful features of the PS3 (aside from gaming of course). It would be a great shame if such a useful feature (which I'm very attached to and use a lot) isn't properly maintained and updated, making it eventually useless. Please Sony,you updated it once in the distant past, it really needs it again!

agreed, i really want a better flash player for youtube videos to get in HD and for it not to crash ALL THE TIME. The only time my ps3 crashes is when using the internet

I concur this must be a feature given priority with an improvement to flash the 4OD and itvplayer will work because now they are now running on flash 10.

alot of companies are now steering away from flash. youtube no longer uses flash videos i believe. this is why youtube cannot be accessed on the ps3 anymore (so i've heard) so yes, a little update would be nice. i'd say it'll come...

HTML 5 Has a Standard Agreed for Video content which is not FLASH.

Adobe have annoyed some people big time with there rubbish Flash plugin.

IE is again draging behind all other Browser engines again as usual.

Flash 9 Runs alot of sites still. The BBC has ZERO problems running IPLAYER on Flash 9.

ITV, 4 and 5 still have not Built their WEBTV sites and have till the End of 2010 to do so.

Rumours are Five will be first to release their WEBTV site.

They need the WEBTV sites as the mirrors on Youtube Are realy low Quality even on a 15inch monitor yet alone a 50 inch HDTV.

Only limited to PS3 if you don't know what you are doing on a web browser.

Youtube H264 Remux sites have been around for ages, before they did not work very well as they used the wrong H264 level flag when encoding on YouTube. Thats no longer a problem.

Plus HTML 5 is now running on some of Youtube..
