Re: Sky users with DNS error 80710102

OK this is really annoying! Just found this thread as have been getting the DNS error message for past couple of days..... tried altering settings and now can't even find an IP address.....

..... Macbook & iPhone still connect fine.... no prizes for guessing that i'm also with SKY BB.....

Re: Sky users with DNS error 80710102

try to set up an automatic connection again, and then go back through and alter the DNS settings manually. That's what i did after finding the wrong page to alter settings the first time (see my previous thread)

Re: Sky users with DNS error 80710102

Yea i get this somedays, im with sky too.

Just doesn't let me log in, or logs me out for no reason.

Incredibly annoying trying to play fifa UT as it quits the entire dlc if you log out.

Usually mid-match

Re: Sky users with DNS error 80710102

Im having this problem alot recently, pretty frustrating as i've never had any problems before, i find after a few attempts at signing in and it usually works. I have noticed though that my connection is ***** poor on call of duty (MW and WAW)..

Im also with Sky BB on the max package, yet im only getting 3.5mb download :smileysad: So i think a complaint is in order.

Thank the heavens for the forums. I have been getting this message recently and thought it was the fact I have just changed to sky talk. Looks like ill be trying the suggested settings and hopefully be playing hassle free again. Hope they can fix the prob though as apart from this I have never had any issues with sky.

On a side note I can sign in no problem into xbox live and my laptop does not have any probs so not even sure if it is skys problem

DNS error 80710102

This doesn't seem to be a Sky specific problem, I'm with O2 and get this error, changed my DNS settings abit and its all fixed now. I rang O2 for a completely different problem(faulty router) and the first thing they said to me was "if your calling about your Playstation getting a DNS error, please contact Sony as the problem is on their end".

Everyone I know who gets this is on ADSL2+ service, but I think this is just a coincidence.
