Can someone please help me. With my current ISP I am getting average speeds of 37mbps however when i test the connection on my ps3 I always average around 12/13, I am using a wired connection. My connection recently has been pretty poor. I've contacted my ISP but there is no problem with my Internet. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help?

It's just so laggy, even watching Netflix and iplayer etc

Unplug the PS3 from the internet, and plug it back in? Sometimes it can have an IP conflict?

Tried doing that numerous times, but always lags still. I'm wondering could it just be the playstation?

The PS3 has a pretty low speed Ethernet connector. 12MB is about the norm for a connection like yours.

Also, I'm jealous as mine is around 2MB. 12 would be a dream for me. *cries*

my connection is 38Mbps down and 9.3Mbps up, tested on all pc's, phones, tabs. yet the ps3 still displays about 18Mbps on the test, i think the test is to quick and in now way a proper speed test.

The test is really just to see if you can connect, and is a very rough comparison. 2MB is fairly accurate for me, however it can vary wildly.
