Firefox would be bad for the PS3 since it is a resource hog, and the PS3 has very limited resources. Chrome would be a better alternative, but the browser works as it is. The only gripe I have with the Browser is that you can't update the flash player your self but have to wait for Sony to stick into an update.

 

And you don't need Skype to talk to people on the PSN you just need to host a chat room for your mates and they can talk or use the PS Eye to video conference, I have managed to get a 8 way video conference with my mates.

 

The worst thing about cross game chat on the Xbox 360 is the mundane and irrelevant chatter you hear over the mic that is not helping you or the team in the game you are playing.  Can any one tell me why you would want to hear someone tell some random person that is not in the game you are playing what they are doing the weekend??

 

I am not a fanboy since I actually own a 360 and a PS3 which I enjoy for various games.
